The Tealium Integration feature allows you to track when your respondents start your survey, when they complete it but also which questions they have answered.
Tealium is a tag management system that uses a web interface to manage your tags without requiring any software. It allows you to replace hard-coded tags on your website with a single tag.
This guide will teach you:
1. Setting up the Integration
In the Extra Options tab in your questionnaire, scroll down to the Integrations and click on Tealium.
After you toggle the button, enter the Tealium path and Custom variable.
- Tealium path - your { account name } / { profile name } / { environment }
- Custom Variable - variable that is sent to Tealium

Tealium integration allows the tracking of Text Choice, Image Choice, and Text slider questions. It does not work if the Offline Mode feature is enabled on your survey.
Note that to have a more accurate representation of where a user drops off, it is advised to enable the mandatory question option. Otherwise, if you make use of different question types, we recommend using the save per question.
2. Events
By default, we trigger the following events.
- A default pageview event is send when a questionnaire is accessed
- A "sa_survey_start" event is send when the first slide of the questionnaire is visible
- A "sa_survey_question_answered" event is send each time an answer is selected on a question
- A "sa_survey_complete" event is send upon successfully completing a questionnaire
