The Charts view shows the results for each of your questions in a clean graph. You can choose to display your results using the Summary table, Pie, Bar, Donut or Line chart. This guide will show you how to use this view.
A chart is a graphical representation for data visualization, in which "the data is represented by symbols, such as bars, lines, or slices". A chart can represent tabular numeric data, functions or some kinds of quality structure and provides different info.
Make your own result page or dashboard by determining which questions you want to display and which filters you need. Learn how to customize your dashboard here. In this guide we'll discuss the following:
1. How to find the Charts view
There are two ways to access the Results. You can click on the responses icon on the Home screen, or click the Results tab when you are editing your questionnaire.
Once you are viewing Results, click the Charts tab if you are in a different view.
2. Information about the questionnaire
The top section of the page contains some more details and information about the survey.
The Completion rate is the ratio between how many times the questionnaire was opened and how many times it was opened and completed. Here you can see whether or not people take the time to complete your questionnaire. If the completion rate is low, you may consider reducing the number of questions or adding more images.
You can choose to hide some of this information by clicking Options to edit the summary dashboard.
Click Edit summary and choose if you want to hide the number of responses, completion rate, average custom score or average duration.
If you have enabled Custom Scoring and have set up question blocks, you'll see the option to display the average score for each question block. Here's that option selected and see how the Question Block KPI scores and formula will appear on your dashboard.
Make sure you've given your question blocks titles so you'll know which results you're looking at!
The gauge shows the max score of each question block but also the percentage of the average score.
3. Charts for each question
Underneath the box containing the summary information, you'll see graphs for every question.
Click on the arrow to access the drop-down menu, where you can choose a different graph format or choose to show the input that your respondents left you in the Additional Text.
By default, the chart type at the chart view is a bar chart. You can change the chart type and save it when you use a new dashboard, but not when you use the default dashboard. When you share the new dashboard, the chart type will be the one that you have selected and not the default bar chart.
What's next?
Once you set up the Charts View, you will want to take a look at the following:
- Insights view: contains various details and information about the survey, according to your settings. Insights view allows you to monitor a range of metrics that give you information about performance, platforms, browsers, views and completion rate.
- Responses view: allows you to analyze the responses you have collected, how a particular respondent answered, the last slide and last question when save per question or save and continue is enabled. This is where device data and properties are included, if data collection setting is enabled.
- Presentation view: allows you to use your results in a presentation. You can easily switch between questions and show the answers and graphs in a clean and visual way to your audience. The Presentation view will use your colors and logo. You can also use it when you are polling your audience at an event and show the live results as they come in.
