The cover page is an essential part of your PDF report and has to be attractive. A well-designed cover creates curiosity about the inside content and thus, compels the respondent to read it.
This guide will teach you:
1. Add your content
When your PDF opens, three pages are automatically created. The first one is a blank page that is your cover page, the last one is your final page and in the middle you can add all your content.
At your cover page, you can upload your company logo, use your company colors as a background or an image to complete the professional look. This is the first page that respondents will see so make it look polished and of course, no typos!
To add your content you can use a text widget.
Add the report title and of course don't forget to add variables to personalize your report.
Add an image widget to add your logo and adjust the margins to move it around the page.
You can add a combination of different widgets if you want, or keep it simple. Simply drag and drop the widgets in your page.
2. Additional settings
Select the page and then at the right of the screen click on the gear button. The widget list will be replaced by the additional settings.
Here you can find the following settings:
1. ID
This is the ID of the widget.
2. Name
You can name your widget in order to identify it easier.
3. Margins
Add margins to create space around elements and move them in your page. By default the margins are set to 12, but you can change that anytime and add the margin you prefer.
4. Background color
You can change the background color of this specific widget by clicking the color selector.
Once you click it, the background color selector will expand and you will be able to select the color you want or add the color hex.
To save just click Apply color.
5. Background image
Click Upload image to add a background image only to this widget.
A new pop-up window will open where you can select the file you want to upload.
You can change the position, the background repeat and background size from the dropdown menu at the settings.
To remove the image you can click the Clear button.
3. Activate and deactivate your cover and final page
On the left side of your screen, you can see the pages structure. Each page element and widget is displayed there. If you would like to deactivate your final page for example, then all you need to do is click the eye icon next to the final page element. You will not delete the element, just hide it. When an element is hidden it is not printed when you generate your PDF.
